Competency as 1st Class Engine Driver, not less than 2 years' service on a
Vessel of not less than 225 B.H.P. as In charge.
Engine Driver 2nd Class: Certificate of
Competency as Engine Driver 2nd Class, 2 years' service as a Syrang / Tindal on
a Vessel of over 400 B.H.P.
Engine Driver Class III: Must have permit
from Mercantile Marine Department for Class III Driver. 02 years' experience as
Crew Engine Room.
Tindal (Engine Room): 2nd Class Boiler
Attendant Certificate / Permit as Engine Driver from Mercantile Marine
Department or equivalent. 03 years' service as Greaser/Fireman/Assistant
Fireman.
Lascar (OD) / Assistant
Fireman / Bhandari / Topass: Must know swimming.
Age Limitations: ApplicantsAge must not
above 37 Years for UR, 40 Years for Government Servants; 05 Years for Sc/ST; 03
Years for OBC and Ex-Serviceman.
