MICA MICAT Exam Pattern Full Details

The MICAT exam pattern is quite different as compared to the other MBA entrance exams. Hence, the MICAT Syllabus will also be different. For e.g. the essay writing, arguments, story writing and Psychometric Test.

Exam Pattern: MICAT will be a multidimensional computer based examination, which will assess applicants in areas such as -
  • Divergent Thinking Abilities
  • Written Communication Abilities
  • General Awareness about
  • Contemporary social and business issues, including areas relevant to media
  • Marketing
  • Advertising
  • Current affairs
  • Analytical & Verbal Abilities

MICAT Syllabus for Reasoning and Verbal Ability: The MICAT Syllabus for this section can be prepared along with the other MBA entrance exams as well. The questions on this section are asked on the following topics:
  • Visual Reasoning
  • Data Sufficiency
  • Statement-Conclusions
  • Word Combination

Selection Method: MICAT will be held only in the computer based format in 14 cities across the country. Based on the performance in the MICA Admission Test (MICAT), applicants are shortlisted for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). Aspirants will have to take at least one of the three eligibility exams:  CAT, XAT and GMAT.
