In the case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates there is no limit of attempts.

Academic Record: Aspirants should have degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil Services Exam.

Age Limits: Check this field-
  • For candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe upper age limit is relaxed up to five years.
  • For candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation you can get relaxation of three years.
  • Candidate, who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989 is admissible for five years age relaxation.
  • In the case of Defence Services Personnel, disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof will get three year relaxation.
  • Ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service will get five years relaxation.

Application Fee: Fee should be submitted in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
  • For Female/ SC/ ST/ PH Candidates: No Fee
  • For other Category Candidates: Rs. 100/-

Selection Process: Candidates will be appointed on their performance in Preliminary and main exam followed by interview.

Preliminary Exam Pattern:
  • Candidates have to attempt Multiple Choice Questions of total 400 marks.
  • Question Paper will be set both in Hindi and English languages.

  • At new web page will open having online Application Form.
  • Part-I and Part-II as per the instructions available in the above mentioned site through drop down menu
  • Must upload scanned photograph and signature duly scanned in the .jpg format in such a manner that each file should not exceed 40 KB each and must not be less than 3 KB in size for the photograph
  • Check and submit it successfully.
  • Don’t forget to receive a print out of submitted form for further use.

  • Photograph and signature duly scanned should be in the jpg format.
