To invite Application Form for Entrance Exam an updated
Notification is circulated by Indian Council of Medical Research in
collaboration
with PGIMER, Chandigarh. Shortly ICMR JRF Entrance Exam is going to commence
after receive ICMR JRF Application Form from highly qualified candidates to
provide admission in Ph.D / Research Programme through Junior Research
Fellowship. This national level
examination is conducted by ICMR for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
in Life science/Social science stream.
Applicants who are quite advance they need to match their
skills and then proceed to apply and prepare as per the exam pattern and actual
syllabus. Highlights suitable to apply for ICMR JRF are announced in the below
section of this article for all the successfully applicants so that they may do
preparation systematic manner. Now applicants need to tuned on this portal

Application Fee:
Those candidates are filling ICMR JRF Application Form, need to deposit an
amount of application fee of 1000/- (For General) and Rs. 800/- (For Reserved
category). Fee can be paid in the branches of State Bank of India by filling
the Challan form in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in
the “Power Jyoti” PUL Current Account No.32211616762.
Educational
Qualification: Candidates should have completed M.Sc. /M.A. or equivalent degree with minimum
55% marks (for General/OBC) Candidates and 50% marks (for the SC/ST &
physically handicapped) from recognized University or Institutions. Those
applicants are pursuing / have appeared in the final year of M.Sc. /M.A. or
Equivalent Examination is eligible to apply for the test as RA (Result
Awaited).
Age limitation: Candidates’
age should not be more than 28 years. Relaxation in age will be applicable for
SC/ST, physically handicapped (PH) and female candidates of 5 years, 3 years
for OBC category candidates.

Selection Process: Contenders
will be getting classifieds on the basis of their qualifying narks in ICMR JRF
Entrance Examination followed by other process of admission.
Keep in Mind:
Each question carries one mark and negative marking @ 0.25 will be made for
each of the wrong answer.
Test Scheme:
- The test will consist of one paper of 2 hours duration.
- The paper will consist of 2 Sections.
Section A:
- Aptitude Section will have 50 questions and all these questions would be compulsory with each question carrying 1 mark.
- Scientific phenomenon in everyday life
- General knowledge in sciences
- Common Statistics
Section B & C: Life Sciences and Social Science -
Appliers may attempt questions in either of the two areas. Each area of section
B & C would have 100 questions and the candidate may attempt any 75
questions in the predesigned area of Section B or C.

How to Fill ICMR JRF Application Form
- Candidates will have to visit the official website that is icmr.nic.in.
- Now, go to “ICMR JRF Entrance Examination” link in the section of “Advertisement” at the top side of the page.
- Then, hit on “APPLICATION FOR ICMR-JRF EXAM” and Press on “Press here to download Prospectus” link and read the complete notification carefully and \
- Before applying online, you have a valid personal email ID. In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she should create his/her new email ID before applying Online.
- Now, fill the application form in correct manner with complete details and upload scanned photograph and signature of requisite size.
- Deposit the fee amount of examination either through challan form or online mode.
- After completing of all procedure, press “Submit” button for the final submission of it.
- At last, take a print out of it for future use only.
