Educational Record:
BE/ B.Tech program:
Applicants who are willing to apply for BE/ B.Tech program they must have
passed intermediate with at least 60% marks (for open category) and 55% marks
(for SC/ST candidates) as aggregate of these three subjects - Physics,
Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and
Computer Science
OR
- Minimum 60% marks for open category and 55% marks for SC/ST candidates in a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3 year duration.
- Aspirants need to appeared in JEE Main with at least 20% aggregate marks for General category candidates and 15% for SC/ST candidates.
For PG Program: To get
admission in any post graduate program applicants must have possessed a
graduate degree in relevant discipline form a recognized university.
For PHD program:
Aspirants who want to get admission in any PHD degree they should have done a
post graduate degree in relevant discipline from a authorized institute
organization.
Application Fee: Students
should to pay-
The application fee should be non refundable is to be done
while presenting the application form printout.
- For BE/ B.Tech, ME / M.Tech, MCA and PHD application fee should be Rs. 1500
- For MA, M.Sc , MBA programs (per discipline whether in same or different departments/schools) & MBA program, the fee is Rs. 1000.
- Those who are making the fee payment in online mode need not send printout of the application form
- At the time of document verification aspirants should required that copy of fee payment.

Admission to UG / PG courses will be done on basis of their performance in
Entrance Exam as described below:
- B.E./B.Tech: JEE (Main) Score
- B.Tech. (Biotechnology): NEET
- For Other Courses: Entrance Test Conducted By TU

How to do UG &
PG Registration:
- First of all applicants need to visit the official website that is www.thapar.edu
- Now move to the “Admission>>Admission” tab from top menu bar
- Select “Under Graduate Admissions / Post Graduate Admissions” Catch all the details and go to “Apply Online”
- Fill the application completely
- Now upload the scanned latest photograph and signature to end the process.
- Finally enter on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the registration process
- In the end receive the print out of the submitted Application Form for future reference.
- If you’re going to pay application fee through online mode then you need not send filled application form.
- If you’re going to pay fee through DD that is drawn in favor of Thapar University and payable at Patiala then you must send hard copy of application form at below mentioned address before the end date.
