Of Exam

The Mode of WBJEE Examination is offline that is CBT (Computer Based
Test).

Duration
|
The duration of the examination is 4 hours.

Type
of Questions
|
All the questions in the examination will be Objective that are MCQs
(Multiple Choice Questions).

Sections
|
The questions paper will be dived into three sections of different
subjects that are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

of Questions
|
Total number of questions in the examination will be 155.

Marks
|
Over all questions paper will carry 200 Marks.

Marking
Scheme
|
Category 1 – 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer. Category
2 and 3 – 2 marks will be given for each correct response
|
Negative
Marking
|
1/4th mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. There will be no
negative marking for Category 3.

Section wise Distribution of Questions:
- Physics – 40 Questions
- Chemistry – 40 Questions
- Mathematics – 75 Questions
Division of
Questions Category Wise:
- Physics & Chemistry- Category 1wil contain 30 Questions, in whereas in Category 2 and 3, 5 Questions will be there from each .
- Mathematics- In Category 1 there will be 50 Questions, Category 2 will have 15 Questions whereas in Category 3 there will be 10 Questions.
