Relaxation Given By the Government: The upper age limit as prescribed above will be relaxed only in the following cases:-
  • Upto a maximum of 05 years, for ST
  • Upto a maximum of 3 years, for OBC
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit is admissible upto 40 years (43 years for OBC, 45 years for SCs/STs) for departmental candidates of Police.

Selection Process for Police Sub Inspector: To become the Sub Inspector of Police SI or PSI, Candidates will have to undergo the following tests. Overall performance of the applicants will be judged for final recruitment on the basis of these processes.

Written Examination:
  • Written exam consists of 2 papers for 200 Marks (100 Marks each).
  • Physical Endurance Test qualified candidates have to pass the written examination with at least 50% marks in each written paper (excluding Interview) and 55% marks in aggregate (including Interview).
  • The SC/ST candidates will be permissible for concession upto 5% marks as per Govt. of India instructions.


Interview:
  • Total 20 Marks is set for interview round.
  • The Candidates, who acquire the required passing marks in written examination, will be called for Interview to check personal bearing, response, aptitude, general level of intelligence etc.


Physical Standards: Appliers who are found eligible on verification of documents will go for Height, Chest (for male candidates only) and Weight measurements. Those who do not fulfill the Physical Measurement Tests requirement will disqualify from the selection process and will not be allowed to appear in further tests.
