Salary: Appointed
appliers will get Rs. 9,000/- - Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,400/- per
month.
Educational Record: Applicants must be Madhyamik
Examination or its equivalent from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education
or any institution recognized by the State or Central Government.
Age Limit: Age of
candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 32 years. The Upper-age limit is relaxable in the case of candidates
belonging to the categories of Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Backward
classes and Ex-servicemen as per existing orders/rules of Government of West
Bengal.
Method of Fee Payment: Payment of Application Fees
and/or Processing Fees can be made on-line through payment gateway by using
Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Net-Banking of any Bank. Fees can be paid through
different e-wallets also. An amount of Rs. 5/- (Rupees five) only will be
charged by the agency concerned as “Service Charge” for availing Debit
Cards/Credit Cards/Net-Banking/e-wallet facility.

Recruitment Process: Selection
of candidates will be based on the basis of Written Examination and Physical
Standard & Physical Efficiency Test followed by medical examination.
Written Examination Pattern: Candidates considered
eligible are required to appear for Competitive Written Examination which will
carry 90 marks having 90 questions of 1(one) mark each. The duration of the
Written Examination will be 1 (one) hour and check below exam pattern

- Candidates who will satisfy by qualifying all the eligibility criteria will be considered for final selection.
- There will be NEGATIVE marking for each wrong answer.
- ¼th of the allotted marks for a particular question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will decide the prescribed scheme and syllabus for the Written Examination.
- The Board will also have the discretion of fixing the qualifying marks in the Written Examination to appear for the next stage.
Emoluments/Wages: Salary
will be Pay Scale of Rs. 5,400 – 25,200/- (i.e. Pay Band-2) + Grade Pay Rs.
1,900/- per month.
