Application Fee: Contenders are required to deposit Rs. 400/- + Bank Charges and service tax of Rs. 18/-(Eighteen Only). Candidates have to submit application fees through E-Challan/Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card/e-wallet.

Selection Process: Candidates will be getting selected on the basis of their performance in Polytechnic Exam followed by counseling process.

Exam Pattern:
  • Exam will be given in offline mode
  • Negative marking will be there as 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answer.
  • (MCQ) will be asked in the examination
  • Exam will be conducted for 2 hrs and 30 min.

About Delhi Polytechnic Entrance Exam
Board of Technical Education, Delhi every year commences a Common Entrance Tests for admission to various courses in Delhi Polytechnics on behalf of Department of Traning and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. This exam is called CET. To beat this test applicant must have a better plan of study with the help of associated material of study. Only those candidates; who are Indian Nationals /sponsored they are eligible to apply for CET. However, depending on the infrastructure available in a particular Institute, there is provision of 15% supernumerary seats for Persons of Indian Origin/Foreign Nationals/ Foreign students. The candidate should have passed 10th class of 10+2 System or Matric or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE with minimum 35% aggregate in Science, Mathematics and English The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in each of these three subjects without considering grace marks.

Students should be below 21 Years (24 years for 10+2 Vocational Engineering Stream and ITI pass out candidates for admission against 10% supernumerary seats in Second Year and 30 Years for women candidates for 12th based courses) as on 1st August of the admission year. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST/PH candidates. and 2 years for women candidates. Maximum age relaxation given to any candidate will, however, not exceed 5 years. No age relaxation is admissible to the candidates other than those specified above.

  • Understand the Syllabus & Exam Pattern: Before start preparation, first go through the exam pattern as it will provide you details about how many questions will be asked in the examination?
  • Preparation Strategy: Mathematics section in Delhi CET test-1, test-4 and test-5 has the more marks weightage. Therefore, students appearing the aforesaid test papers are advised to prepare this subject thoroughly. To secure good marks, it is also important to know your weak and strong points before the exam.
  • Create a Time Table: Before starting the studies, students can make time-table by considering factors like how much time has left for the examination, how much time should be provided to each subject per day so that the whole syllabus has covered within the due time course.
  • Make Short Notes: You may quickly revise the important topics from your notes one week before the examination.
  • Eat Good Food: Good and digestive food will help to students set free mind for study.
  • Do self-study: It is very clear that without doing any self-study you cannot crack an entrance exam.Just on the basis of classroom study in school, coaching institute or tuition classes you cannot master your syllabus.
  • Sleeping approx 7 to 8 hours: IF a student sleeps at least 7 to 8 hours then he/ she can easily get relaxation in the body to do study fluently.
  • Physical Fitness: The applicant must be in good mental and physical health and should be free from any physical defects likely to interfere with active outdoor duties.
